Long Time No Chat
Well Hello!!
It has been a while!
Knurled News took a backburner as HomeGymCon 2024 (actual event) & 2025 preparations took over.
That said, HomeGymCon 2024 seemed to be a pretty big hit & HomeGymCon 2025 is already off to a hot start with 58 vendors signed up in just over a week of outreach!
Below is a snapshot of the companies that have already signed up!
Since our last Knurled News release, a number of product releases have caught our eye.
Below is a look at those products, and at the bottom of this email is a list of the top sales happening.
I also have a list of new products I will highlight tomorrow (I didn’t want to overdo it today), including some HomeGymCon releases, Rogue, and Force USA, so be on the lookout for that email!
REPPINS (REP x PÉPIN FAST Series Adjustable Dumbbells.
Maybe preemptively, but the REP x PÉPIN FAST Series Adjustable Dumbbells have quickly become the top dumbbell choice for many home gym owners.
The REPPINS will be more durable than Nuobells and much less compact than Powerblocks. Plus, they are priced pretty reasonable!
Therefore, they fill a pretty pivotal role in the market.
Additional highlights of these include:
Made entirely of metal and have been extensively drop-tested from every angle
CNC-cut plates with a black powder coating and pro-style head.
Included 2.5lb micro-plates for smaller adjustments
Expandable Cradle
Knurled Handle
85 lb = $899.99, 105 lb = $1,099.00, and 125 LB = $1,299.99
The only downside right now seems to be that the current pre-order will take about 3 months to get to you.
Ares 2.0
The Ares 2.0 is an upgraded version of the 1.0, which fixes many of the suggestions made by reviewers and others who owned it.
Improvements include:
Weight stacked pushed back for more room within rack (helps with things like incline bench)
Offset trolleys for more range of motion
Cable routing is updated so you don’t disrupt as much space on the rack.
Moved the low-row pulley higher, so there is potential to use it on a bench.
Independent swivel pulleys added to lat pulldown that move with a natural range of motion.
Freak Athlete Leg Developer
One of the most versatile items you can add to your home gym just got even more versatile.
Freak Athlete has recently added a Leg Developer Add-On to the Nordic Hyper.
It can be purchased as an add-on whether you already own one or not and adds the ability to do leg extensions and hamstring curls.
AbMat Bench Wedge
I think the Bench Wedge is one of the top products AbMat has released in a while!
You can strap the Bench Wedge to any adjustable bench to help turn it into a “utility seat,” which doesn’t include the length of an adjustable bench.
Therefore, it allows a smoother experience for movements such as shoulder presses and tricep extensions. It can also be used for some chest-supported exercises.
This will take up very little space and is easy to store.
