🆕Rogue Functional Trainers
Recently, Rogue dropped their response to the REP ARES with a number of rack-attached options that will add a functional trainer-like setup at the front and lat pulldown/low row to the back of your rack.
In general, they seem to be a very solid add-on for those in the Rogue ecosystem & who have been waiting on a product like this.
In addition, the prices are pretty similar to what REP offers with everything but the pulleys being “Made in the USA.”
These options can be added in several different variables, highlighted below:
Monster or Monster Lite - These are only available for 5/8” and 1” holes.
Standalone 6-Post Power Rack, Standalone 4-Post Half Rack, or Add-On to Rack - Rogue has pre-packeded options for both rack styles mentioned and then add-ons for those already with these types of racks.
One or Two Stacks (twins) - While both options utilize a 2:1 pulley ratio for the functional trainer and 1:1 for the lat pulldown, the number of stacks will definitely change up the experience. Single stacks may limit cable length, more difficult to even up weight distribution because of an uneven center point, and there is more potential for uneven force to be applied when performing bilateral movements. Two stacks includes a higher price, but a better experience.
Rogue Rhino Drop In - This will integrate into your rack and allow for lat pulldowns (no functional trainer).
Current options are below:
Title | Rack Style | # of Stacks | M or ML? |
6 Post Power Rack | 1 | Monster
4 Post Half Rack | 1 | Monster
6 Post Power Rack | 2 | Monster
4 Post Half Rack | 2 | Monster
Add-On | 1 | Monster | |

🆕The Dane from Fringe is Here
The Dane appears to be one of the best value and space-efficient packages offered today.
The Dane is a space-saving half-rack functional trainer that combines a weight rack with a pulley system. It has dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio (I don’t think this is ideal for most - would rather have 2:1), meaning the weight feels precisely as advertised.
Despite its functionality, The Dane boasts a compact footprint of only 60 inches deep. Adding value, it comes with several attachments, including spotter arms, J-cups, d-handles, and a landmine attachment, all included in the base price. The squat rack frame is covered by a lifetime warranty, while the pulley system has a 5-year warranty.
It has a pretty nifty peg storage option to store attachments as well.
Fringe has done a great job of assembling this package for those seeking a similar setup at an affordable price without the hassle of putting together a rack themselves.
For those looking to individually put together this rack this won’t be their choice, but should be a nice budget option.
🆕Rogue Mace
The new Rogue Mace has a number of unique features that stand out:
Available in 15 or 20 LB options.
Stainless Steel Shaft & Matte Black Finish on Coating - Rust and wear down shouldn’t be much of an issue.
Olympic barbell sleeve with bushing design for weight to rotate freely.
Compatible with Olympic Plates - they are designed to be used more specifically with Rogue Dumbbell Plates.
🆕🤑Rogue Mantle
The Rogue Mantle is an evolution of the wall-strip designed most specifically to get items like your plates, spotter arms and leg rollers on the wall when not in use.
If secured to the wall at a low point, it can be used as an anchor point for landmines, battle ropes, etc.
While this may be a pretty basic release from Rogue, it’s nice to see them starting to pump out more products geared to the home gym population.
